Last steps of install = FAIL!?

what head unit? is the subwoofer output turned on ? and is the subwoofer output volume turned up at all? is the amp turned up at all?rcas are they in the input? switch on the amp master and slave is it set as master?
Pioneer 6200BT; sub is turned on via the HU controls; I tried turning up the output; RCA's are in input; amp is set to master. Wiring is correct.

You don't need the second fuse and going with a bigger fuse than the one under the hood for smaller wire is stupid. I'll wager that you have a loose connection at the distro block and neither amp is getting the voltage that it needs as a result.
off topic to the max. But taxi where you from in NM? i just moved here and lookin for some fellow car audio enthusiasts. lol

hook + to + and - to - try to pop the sub with a small battery to test all the wiring.... other then that try taking a set or rcas out of the 4ch amp and put it in to the sub amp never kow could be bad rcas

I tested the sub with a 9v and it popped and moved out upon contact with the battery so its not the problem. I unplugged the rear speaker RCA's and plugged them into the mono amp with no sound. I then tried the sub RCA's in the 4ch amp and heard nothing. I dunno if this necessarily means its the RCA's, as I didn't get a chance to test all the sub wiring with the 9v. I guess I'll do that tomorrow and where/if it stops 'popping' is where the connection is broken right? I wonder buying actual 'speaker wire' would fix it (I have just regular 10 gauge copper 'tool wire' connecting it now.) Its just odd that I'm getting 16-19ohms from the amp all the way back to the sub, er does this even mean anything?

Let me know what you guys think.

The 10 gauge wire isn't the problem. Speaker wire really is just copper power wire. I'm thinking maybe you used cheap terminals on the box. That might explain why the resistance is so high.

this is the terminal i got/have -

House Brand TERMINAL-SG - Box Terminals - Sonic Electronix

I didn't solder the speaker wires when connecting them to the clips on the inside of the terminal, but they have a good connection. The speaker wire from the amp should be sending dc voltage to the sub correct? So I should be able to DMM the wires to make sure they are sending out voltage and figure out where it stops...?

The amp puts out AC voltage to the sub. See if you have any voltage at the amps output terminals, and then work your way to the sub. If you do what Chillin said make sure to wire the sub to 4 ohms first.

reason why you could be reading that 16-19 ohms at the amp could be because of bad wire bad connections or if the amp is on and your tring to measure it you could be pulling some resistance from the amp...... or if the subs is being touched like the cone of it it can also cause the resistance value to jump around

take rcas from 4 channel and try them in the sub amp. power to power amp but no output. 1 of 2 things Rcas or speaker wire between amp and sub
this...

also measure resistance of you post and neg wires at the amp... this could give away whta the issue is ....

86toy - rca's and power are on the opposite side of the car.

I tried testing the AC voltage on my RCA's but I can't get a reading on any of them (even though the front/rear speakers work). I am using the positive probe on the DMM to the post and the negative to the ring on the RCA but still can't get reading. I did check the voltage on the speaker wires coming from the mono amp and they are not sending a signal to the sub. The wires plugged into the amp terminals aren't even getting voltage. Its leading me to believe its the RCA cable but I wanna at least get a reading from the DMM before I go unmounting the HU and such.
