Last steps of install = FAIL!?

Hey, so today I was finishing up my install of a RE SX 15 with a AudioQ 1200D going into my civic which already had crescendo components and crescendo 4 ch amp. I got everything mounted and wired in then the 1200D wouldn't power up. After playing it and going through solutions all of a sudden now my 4 ch amp keeps going into protect mode. I don't understand why, and now not only is my mono amp not powering up but I somehow messed up my 4 channel install.

Just so you know I have 1/0 gauge going back to a dist. block with 4g going to the 4 channel, and then another 4 g going to a 200amp fuse then to the mono amp. I have 3 RCA's wired back from the head unit. I had the 2 for font/rear in the 4 ch amp and the other in the 1200D along with the remote split and ran to both amps. Both grounds are secure so I dunno what hell is wrong!?

PLEASE HELP me figure this out as I've been working on the box/install for quite some time and now it seems I'm only going backwards! Thanks!

I had the components installed at a shop and they also ran the speaker wire/remote back with speedwire. I then had that split, with it going to each amp. I even tried just putting it back to original with the main wire going into the 4 ch amp and it still went into protect.

I dont need any rca's connecting the 2 amps right? since my HU has 3 pre-outs I would just want to have the sub rca's straight into the 1200D right? I still can't figure out why it won't power/the 4ch is in protect! uuuggghhhh

I don't know why you have a fuse going off the 4 ga to the 0/1 of 200 amps.. The one off your battery should be enough. I am under the impression that you run them within a certain amount of length from batteries not distro blocks. Also I thought that the in line fuse was supposed to keep wires from melting which in this case wouldn't 200 amps melt a 4 gauge?

somebody recommended on these forums i have another fuse before going to the mono amp. i have a 150amp near my battery so maybe the 200amp is overkill? i'm not sure - i can't remember who recommended it to me. well, i ran out of daylight for the day so i'll have to get a DMM tomorrow (knew i shoulda grabbed one today while i was at ace) and check my grounds/remote. i guess it has to be one of those. if I start my car without the rca's plugged into the 4ch it doesn't light up the protect light, so im thinking its the grounds. i have them in ring terminals and then bolted to support metal in my trunk. I guess just check them and the remote tomorrow with the DMM?

SO, i went out today with a dmm and checked the voltages of all my wires. power wires are getting 13-14 volts all the way back to both amps. remote wires are also getting 12-14 to both amps. Then, i checked my grounds. both ground wires from each amp is only getting 8-10 volts. I did change the 4 channel amp's ground connection upon mounting it yesterday so that would make sense. It is just weird that it worked for a little while and then stopped.

I was using a piece of metal support in the trunk, but maybe the little bit of paint on there is resulting in a loss of current? Let me know what you guys think, and thanks for all the help and suggestions!

use the gnd from for the amps to test your voltage and if its below 12v you will need a better gnd. if you have to get another distro block and use it as a ground blocs nad run 0/1 to a very good gnd point, strip the paint and bolt it.
