no car became any champion with subs in doors. Dedicated midbass yes. Subs no. Subs are omnidirectional, you dont need them right up front, actually you need it far away from you for the wave to propagate and develop which is determined by your car length and car material. Having the subs right in front, you'll actually get next to no output up front and your trunk will be the spot thats loud audibly. Thats how bass works. Not to mention doors are firing towards eachother, subs firing right at eachother is absolute dogshit.... Incident waves colliding with other incident waves without any proper loading wall creates NEGATIVE bass. Yes its the install, no one in their right minds does installs like that. Whatever you posted was a 15 inch midwoofer not a subwoofer. Subs DO NOT belong in doors. All setups you think that has a sub, its all midbass and PA midrange.I believe in your`s experience, but this theme is a interesting for me, too many cars became a champions of country with subs in doors on front. From 90s to ours days.
Perhaps it's all about the settings and installation.
