Large Python escapes and kills a 2yr old girl in Sumter County FL

no, for all the snake people. YOU GUYS ARE THE PHUCKIN MORONS. A snake ISN'T and indoor pet.
Everyone isn't a pussy like you are. Try to educate yourself instead of just fearing things because you were taught to. I'm almost finished adding 2 rooms onto my house for my snakes that will have steel exterior doors on them with deadbolts that only I will have a key to. I don't believe I'll have any problems with them getting out.

The point is you don't have to choose. If you're smart about it there won't be an issue. A lot of kids die in car crashes, does that mean when you have kids you should quit driving a car?

Thats just stupid, cars don't have instincts to smother babies.

Plus you can't take the kids to school on a snake.

bad comparison

Meh, some people take the time to try to understand things, some don't. This is the reason I don't deal with Canadians.

I dont get the owning reptiles and snakes as pets, Ive considered it before, and it doesnt bother me when others do, but the appeal iosnt there for me. But for me, having a large snake with a small child just doesnt make sense to, just like having a badly trained/badly bred pit bull with a small child doesnt make sense to me.

Kids are also escape artists, my 1 year old gets out of her car seat, and can **** near get out of her crib, Im sure by the time shes 6 or 7 she could find some hidden keys as well.

Precautions like building extra rooms probably work with kids, but you cannot control them all the time, and it just seems like an extra un-needed risk in a home with kids

Good post. I certainly wouldn't recommend it for everybody.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Did anyone actually read the article? First of all there's typos everywhere. But ummm the owner was 32 and the boyfriend of the 2-year old's 19-year old mother. And they had two other small children living with them. WTF?! Nice family...
