My brother is a big snake person. He told me they actually have bounties out for some snakes down there? Thats crazy.
And something about the snakes being competitors with the Florida panther (as far as prey goes) and some are worried it may have a negative impact on the already rare panthers.

And Michael Vick gets prison for dogfighting, yet these owners aren't charged for viciously stabbing this snake?

Yeah, they are actually paying bounties iirc. They are flourishing in the everglades are are threatening many endangered birds and such.

People that decide to keep/get killer pets (snakes and pitbulls) when they have children should be shot. I sure hope the enjoyment these "parents" got out of owning that snake was worth their childs life, fukn idiots.
