Laptop WiFi Help...

I ordered a new laptop today and I want to use my Road Runner that is hooked on my desktop with the laptop so I can walk around the condo with it. I'm wondering what all I need to make this possible. Router and the card for the laptop right?

Wireless router, if it is a new laptop it may have an internal wireless card already, check the specs

if not it probably has a space for an internal pci card or you can use an external one as well

and make sure when u set that router up u put some kind of security on it like WPA or WEP- I would choose WPA over WEP. WEP is weak.

Thanks for the help guys, the router is setup and I chose the WAP security suggested by Ryan. I'll post pics when it gets here.
