that is one of the ones I tried before NHC and didn't work But I am extremely happy with NHC

now battery life from 100% is over 5 hours on a 6 cell battery. The laptop runs on less than 9 watts without the AC plug.

I'm gonna give this a try tomorrow. My HP runs hot as a mother****er, even with a cooling pad under it. When it's overly warm in my room my laptop get's so hot that the screen light shuts off after a little while, hopefully this will fix that.

depends on the desktop...the ones I work with do not have multipliers, but insert some idle time between cpu commands.

so yes you can make a desktop run cooler, but I believe it diminishes some performance
