you will have to find one that will work on your machine. The one I use was written for the IBM thinkpads.

im interested in doing this but apparently this dont work on mac computers?

any other program that is compatible with macs?

my laptop definitely gets hot after a while, cooler laptop would be awesome

I did this to mine after reading the thread. Def made a big difference in temp on my Dell Laptop. I have done this to desktops before but never even thought about the laptop for some reason =/ I was able to take it from 1.325v down to 1.135 or something like that at the highest multiplier and run Orthos for 20 mins stable.

d@mn.... what is your top multiplier??? I was able to go down from 1.34x to .988v at 17x

it is called "undervolting":....try searching for it with macs....

That sucks. I OC my laptop. Im running a T9300 2.5Ghz C2D at 3.0Ghz and stay around 50* too. Laptop coolers FTW.

Some motherboards arent compatible. Its all based on chipset.
