Laptop help needed...

I want to use my 32" LG LCD as a monitor for my HP laptop. The TV has an RGB-PC port. It also has a RGB Audio plug. I do now know what cable I need to make this happen.

Who can tell me?

You need a VGA cable aka HD15 cable aka D-Sub cable aka PC monitor cable.

I got the VGA cable, and the picture works great. I also got a mini stereo jack to RCA cord because they said thats what i would need to make the sound work as well, but i am getting nothing when i plug it in.

Is there something I am doing wrong, maybe something i need to change on the laptop?

Most HDTVs I've seen use a mini-stereo to mini-stereo connection for sound from a PC ...
