Lanzar amps and why they ****.

i run a 1ohm load on my opti 200.2... put's out over 1kw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif solid amps
wow - those boards aren't exactly jaw-dropping. 1kw?? Seriously?

Anyway - my experience with Lanzar spans from about '92 to now, and from Vibe to Optidrive - 10 to 15 different amps. I had one problem - with a Vibe 1200D. Lanzar sent me a replacement from the factory that worked perfectly along with some in-depth technical info on that particular amp, and the problems they had with building it and what was done to solve them.

Optidrives are solid amps. Plain and simple. Regardless of their sister companies. They're relatively affordable and can hold their own against any other mfg.

The cheaper stuff is, well, cheaper stuff. It seems to me the power ratings on some viberant and heritage models are ridiculously inflated, but all things considered, for the price they do their job.

Yeah I have an Opti 2000D, had it for about 6 months. Works great, no problems out of it. I just orderd a Opti 200x4 for my components. I have never tried anything other then their Opti line, but so far I have been very happy.

last measured in-car on a burp. 53hz, 2ohm nominal, 3ohm actual(after rise), 1008w...and it's louder at 1ohm nominal:naughty:

A friend of mine bought a Lanzar Vibe series amp when he got his first system. It never really did its rated power but it did **** well to have only paid 140 bucks for it. It was good for 139 db's on a new termlab with two Premier subs and a 4.5 cu ft. ported box that was way underported all inside an extended cab f150. He sold them as a group and to this day their still working good as far as I know.

I have only owned one lanzar amp, it was a lanzer Vibe I forget what the model is. It worked fine for me, usually could run for about ~3 hours straight before shutting off at 2 ohms. This was 3 years ago. I still have it but havent used it so I dont know if it still works.

j/c what were your cuurent and vac readings?
i honestly don't remember //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

sean belanger(sp) measured it at meca WF last year...

i can tell ya this also...it was about 1.5db louder than my dx700 which we tested at 830w //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I've seen the 2000D. Pretty beefy looking board. Haven't seen the 200x4 before. Looks like an awful lot of amp for $250.
Yeah sure is alot of amp there. I upgraded from a sony so now I have a real amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. I have been really happy with the Lanzar Opti Driver line so far. Cant wait to set all this stuff up to go active, I am going to work on that this weekend //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif .

I have the older vhc 1200. I friggin love it, besides its huge stature. I mean it litterally takes up my whole back seat. I have it running on 2 alpine type r's, the 2005 ones and it has hit 144.3 on the 190/ac and 140.2 on the tl. Not to bad considering.

The opti drive series are excellent amps. I am saving up to get one hopefully buy next summer.

Plan is to do an optidrive 2000 on 2 12'' optidrive subs. Subs are 1300rms. Should be interesting to see what kind of numbers I get with that. Just have to sell some of my current equip. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
