A little of advice please...

I know "this vs. that" threads arent really all that popular but I do need a little advice.

I have a dual 4 12" Type X in a ported box.I need an amp for it and I came across a couple of amps and Im not sure which way to go.The first one is a Alpine PDX 600.1 that I can get for 210.00 brand new.The other one is a Hifonics Bxi2008 for 250.00 brand new.It seems like both get very good reviews Im just not sure which would be better for my setup.Im kind of leaning toward the Hifonics,but I want to make sure I get a quality amp.

Wait a minute, you have FOUR type X subwoofers and you plan to use a SINGLE PDX 600.1 or a SINGLE BXi 2008d? You don't have enough power because those subs need 1,000 watts RMS each to get moving!

In other words, don't even consider the 600.1 and possibly look into getting at least two BXi 2008d amps to run FOUR of these bad boys. I hope your electrical is up to par too because you will be blowing your sub amps at an alarming rate if you are only running a stock electrical setup!

Reading owns me tonight, lol..... Regardless, that 600.1 IS NOT enough power so I'll digress and recommend ONE BXi 2008D:emb:

OK cool.Thanks for the advice.

I was leaning towards the Hifonics but it seems like a 50/50 on the quality of these amps.I hope its still there because Ill get that one.
