L7 Enclosure

OK well I purchased that box last night.

The dimensions are 30" X 14 3/4" X 13.25" (2.568 cubic feet)

The dimensions of this box http://www.crutchfield.com/S-rLRAaAuJ2LN/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=510&I=2064VS12L7&id=review which is prebuilt by kicker are 29" X 14 5/8" X 12 1/2" to 18 3/4" (it slants in depth) (2.945 cubic feet)

So these are about the exact same airspace and the vent looks to be around the same size. I shouldnt have any problem pushing the power with this box.

I am running my Kicker with a RF Type RF X6 850 watt RMS amp http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64572&item=5787378744

Should I just mount the amp on the top center of the box or on the side what??

Also, when mounting, is it better to use screws that won't go all the way through the MDF or longer ones??

Excuse the newbie questions but after getting a new sub and box, I want everything setup perfect.

you can mount the amp anywhere you like. If you use bolts to mount the amp, while the woofer has yet to be installed, ahrder for someone to try to rip it off...just a thought...

*blink*
you're running two viper 2500.1s? at 1ohm? they are only 2ohm stable. Even if they are running at 1ohm how the hell are those l7s handling that ammount of power. Hell the rms rating on the solo x is 2500, I know the l7's are a ton less than that.

x2...

haha i get that a lot on here...people arel ike wtf your running your vipers at 1 ohm but they're only 2 ohm stable!?!! they're actually geting about a 1.2 load each amp..THERE! SO THEY AREN'T 1 OHM! hehe...they can handle 1 ohm with no problem for me. I dunno my L7's must be special or something. rms on L7's = 750 watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif so 1 of these amps is almost enough to push 4 L7's at RMS...hehe

i would NOT mount amp on the sub-box,the vibrations might shake the internals of the amp to pieces!

I really think that would depend on the amp. This particular amp is a very well-made heavy duty amp. I was planning on mounting it on the back seat of my toyota 4runner but the only thing to mount it to was some weak *** holey wood that wouldn't support the weight. What should I do??
