Need help about Eclipse!

Hooked up 3403 and the back is getting so hot to the touch(within half a minute!) that it will burn you...wtf could be happening?

Assuming wires are ran correctly...I just sold it and not 10 mins ago the kid calls me asking why it's getting so hot...

He cant wire vs the unit is bad...vs...I dunno? lol

Or do the back of the players normally get that hot and this kid is just complaining because he grabbed it when it was hot?

I know my mom's factory unit gets hot enough that when I go to turn up the volume it dang near burns me - should he just not worry about it?

is there a heatsink in the back? it is normal to heat... see if you're not blocking any fan or something

He said it was around the heatsink that it was so hot...

I thought ti was supposed to be hot back there?

But then again he said it was getting so ungoly hot he couldnt touch it...

And what do you mean Eclipse will replace any HU? Even if I dont have receipts?

well if you bought it from authorized they will replace if it fails or give you another one in case it gets stolen

Wasnt bought from authorized dealer - is it normal for that much heat to be around the heatsink?

yes i have a 3404 they heat that much, pretty much whole back is heat sink, and why is he even touching back while its on? besides to make sure it works?

All HU heatsinks heat up.

When he was installing it, he didnt have it in yet - he was just making sure he'd wired it right(which he didnt, popped three fuses) ... lol

check the ground, make sure its grinded to bar metal,
