L5 or Type R

i have a 98 ext. cab chevy z71 truck and i am looking to build a system for it. i hear good things about both subs and i cant decide what one to get. the size will be 10", and i will have 2 of them under my back seat. i think that i am going to use a sealed box b/c i dont think that i have enough room for a ported one. which way should a fire them? if you could also recomend a cheap but good amp that will push these that would be great. also i dont know what ohm i need for the subs, and the entire ohm thing realy confuses me, like dual 2 ohm and stuff. if you could recomend the sub, what ohm for the subs, and how to wire the amp to them that would be great. i would like to only have one amp pushing both of the 10 in subs.

why under your seat? it's going to be hard to build a box that'll fit.

You can't go wrong either way... R's are cheaper and just as good... it really depends on your brand preferance. If you get two DUAL 4 OHM subs... you can wire them to ONE OHM... which is what most mono amps do most of their power at. What is your budget for the amp? there are a ton of 1000 watts amps out there

i have plenty of room under my seat, its and ext cab so it will be in the back, plus i still want to be able to use it. i have seen it done like this many times on one of the chevy forums i beling to. my budget for the amp is as cheap as i can get a good one. i was thinking something from hifonics? how do you figure out what ohm the amp will be run at. did you divide 4ohms by 2 b/c it was dual coil, then 2 again because there are two subs? is there a certain way that i would have to wire the amp? any amp suggestions? sorry for all the questions but i am a complete idoit about stereo stuff.
