On crutchfield, it says..
•1/0-gauge power and ground leads recommended
Could i use 4/0 gauge? or would that "hurt" the amp?

there is a big difference between 4/0 and 4ga, youre speaking of 4gaOn crutchfield, it says..•1/0-gauge power and ground leads recommended

I don't think the OP knows the difference between 4 and 4/0 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifits not gonna hurt the amp but its a royal waste of 4/0. that amp would work just fine with 4 gauge.
I just told you 4 gauge will be fine, but if you'd like to be extra careful and minimize voltage drop you can use 1/0 if you like.Sorry for my extreme newbiery.. I ment 4ga yes, it handles up to 1ga or is it 0ga?.. maybe meet in the middle and run 2ga?
JL makes some **** good 2awgyoure not gonna experience voltage drop from a 1200w amp. OFC 4g is good up to like 1800w.
1 and 0 gauge are the same thing. most 2gauge wire is cheapo stuff, "good" wire companies only make 4g and 0g
There will always be more of a drop in 4 gauge then 1/0, it's basic electrical theory.youre not gonna experience voltage drop from a 1200w amp. OFC 4g is good up to like 1800w.
