4 awg cable for an 8 awg amp?

Hey folks, just curious, Is it safe to use 4 awg cable yo power and ground an amp designed for 8 gauge?

make sure the connection is clean and doesn't have a bunch of strands sticking out that could ground/short out on something.

but running bigger cable will only help
