Lol!!! 1400 watts? Dude I run a dc 270sp alternator and 1 battery on a DD z-se(6000 wrms). The voltage does not drop below 14.4 volts. I also compete and do 152db sealed at the dash on music. You have never done any of this. You do not know what you're talking aboutEdit: I'm clamping 2945watts due to impedence rise but that is still healthily more than the magical 1400w barrier you are imagining.

the "magical 1400w" is what the OP has idiot... not a number out of the air like you continually refer to it as... ( can't read still.... )

the OP has an HC1800 (81ah) that he swapped in from a YT (120ah) on a stock 100 amp alt and has dimming problems...on 1400 watts and you say he needs an h/o alt where I say he needs to put the yellow top back in and run both batts... you said his electrical is already suffering and he has to have an h/o cuz a 2nd battery will only make his setup worse.. you are wrong..end of story and 12 pages of bs electrical theory based on your opinion that was refuted with facts that a car regulator has a high voltage cutoff and not a low voltage "shut off" as you said...
