Lol it takes you forever to respond each time. Of course I don't need to google. Find out who I am before you try attacking. Once again, talking about something which you do not know. Why is it that you are refusing to answer my questions? What would I have to google?
i answered your question about the discharge did you want it more in depth?

I have answered way faster than you in every instance //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif ...

You did not answer the question about discharge adequately. When the alternator in the system is putting out let's say 14.4v, and there is a normal battery in parallel with the alternator, is the battery discharging to the amplifiers at all times? If not, when does it begin to discharge? THAT was the question.

furthermore... the electrochemical reaction in a battery is constant whether the alternator is functioning or not... whether the vehicle is on or not whether it is on the floor a shelf or in the car it never stops... batteries are in a constant state of charge or discharge 100% of the time from the moment the reaction is started.... til the battery is dead from sulfation or the plates/acid is depleted...

If you can't keep the batteries charged up to a decent level with your alt or a charger you will kill your batteries a lot faster. I have about 20 or so batteries out in my garage most of which are under two years old, some have yellow tops, some have white, others have red some have black...odd thing is they are all sulfated by not keeping them charged.....I can take a "5000 watt" battery ground it bad as well as ground a 1200 watt amp bad and get it to dim and run the battery all the way down without too much effort....

you asked about discharging and when it happens i told you in basic easy to understand terms...
You said nothing of the sort. You were very vague. there is a very specific answer and if you had ANY idea what you were talking about you would have answered it. Tell me you know some more, and I'll post what you said yesterday.. I have it quoted so don't try to go edit it. You have no idea what potential is. You have no idea how any of this works. you just think you do, and rather than try to learn you have let your pride get involved.

lol ok w/e kiddo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i told you yes... they do all the time... it is fact...

whether an amp is hooked to it or not the battery is either charging or discharging.. period..

Exactly. Depending on the duty cycle, you can have 20 batteries fully charged and without adequate alt I'll have them dead in a couple of minutes.
