Kinetik HC 2400 in Tahoe

It's a good choice if you have the room for it, won't have to worry about draining your battery under normal use //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yea, thats why i just bought two of them from lilmaniac2. I was just wondering how one would fit there(stock loaction) cause they are massive!!! So if any one has pics of one in a tahoe that would be sweet...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif thanks guys

With all those electrical upgrades? And you are only running 1000w?
Something seems off...

Not really, the 1000/1 is drawing 180+ amps (got is tested at three diff places) and my alt can only do 175 max at idle, so the car needs 40 amps to run stock stuff, so im left with 135 for the system which is not enough...I have set my gains via DMM, big three done, tried it with and out the bat caps (no difference). so yea...

Wow, I didnt realize the 1000/1 could draw that much current.

Overpriced and inefficient? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Yea, me neither, 1000/1 FTL in price and output. Its powering a 15 XXX so the XXX wants every watt it can get and is just ******* all the juice the alt can give it. So im going to sell it with the bat caps and the sp 1700 and get a orion 2500D and the two kinetik 2400's. so im just wondering how to mount the kinetik 2400 in the stock battery location.

You don't need two HC2400s I can tell you that. One plus the stinger batt should be enough if the rest if your electrical system is up to par.

Edit: Which it seems so. I think if you put one HC2400 up front and had the SP1700 in the back, maybe with a nice ground kit, you're 2500D will be happy. If you're getting lots of voltage issues like what you're having, check your ground, maybe run a 0 gauge power/ground loop to the front of your car. That should give you more stable voltage.

thats what i have done, the ground for the amp is grounded back at the battery. and the battery is grounded to the frame at bare metal //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
