Deff, a honda, if your poor now, so you wont need to buy another one maybe till 300k,and still poor..Civic EX get great gas milage, and have very little issues,if you maintain the primary maintenance requirements.Im wishing I never sold my 93 Integra/Honda..looking for another ATM.Look up how to kill a Honda Motor on YouTube,maybe that will Help sell you on the vehicle:eyebrow:

You can buy four to five good used Hondas for the price of that cooper, and even mod a couple up cheap

Nice little ride, but Parts for repairs are hard to find!!Expensive:uhoh: Id stick with a Honda man/Acura.IMO

99-02 corolla 211,000+ no problems other then a wheel bearing and I drive it like I stole it! it has not had an easy life and shows no signs of stopping and it's right in your price range.
