only read the first post op said but i know how it is sometimes. i support my local shop and one of the workers has two jl w3 13.5's in 5.2 cubes tuned to 27 hz on 1k rms and he was hitting 145's in the trunk on music. i couldn't believe how loud those jl's got. they were moving tons of air. the loudest 1k setup i have ever heard. makes my eclipse look like ish.

well i epic failed with my enclosure lol. building a new one asap. but at least their is someone down to earth on here. this made me realize it really is about the install.

i dont see why people do. ive even seen a guy with a sony xplod and it slams pretty good for a lower end brand

You have too think thats 2 13.5'' woofers.. its actaully alot of cone area. And another thing is, is that he probably matched those subs perfectly for wattage. 1000w is probably all those two can handle.. Depends on the vehicle and what not as well.

Ive heard alot of trunk cars with 3 10's 3 12's 2 15's. My single brahma would give anyone a run for their money, that sub gets down right nasty off my kx 1200.1. I think im going to put the saz on it and let the kx sit around. See what the difference will be.

OP your box must be WAY off man! Plus i cant see how your car can keep up powering that amp. Those RF's take power to make power. Probably why everything is getting hot.

yeah i got some work to do lol. i already got a box design from pro-rabbit. building it tomorrow. cant wait to hear the difference!
