Has anybody ever shoot a Raging Bull 454?

I have shot 2 of them. They were both the 6.5" ers.

One was plain and the other has a scope.

It has a good bit more whoop *** vs the DE .50. I took the scoped Bull hunting last year and did good with it.

Bagged a nice 6pt and a few coyotes.(80 yds for the buck and about 50ish on the coyotes)

IMO, fun to shoot but the ammo is a little on the pricy side.

I've been pricing the ammo, thats why I'm leaning more to the Judge version. When you say more then the DE can you describe that better. The DE wasnt that bad but I'm sure the slide helped. Can you compare it to a ruger redhawk 44, I hated the grip on that one.

I have a 7.24" magna ported Ruger Super Blackhawk that I regularly carry while hunting.

Shooting Remington 180gr. sp. gives me a fire ball larger than a softball and extends out about 18" from the barrel. With that ammo, using 2 hands,

I get about 12-14" of lift. (Its louder than my 20" Mossberg 500 12ga)

The Taurus was about the same but much louder. Keep in mind that the Taurus is a tad heavier.

they both kick more than the DE .50. The DE has 2 recoil springs and a rotating bolt to help with the recoil.

And YES, the factory Ruger Blackhawk grips ****.......went with Hogue's and they are 200% better.

With that being said and accounting for the price of ammo I might just go with the 44 Bull. I cant find that Judge anywhere here or online, I know it has to be close to the $700 dollar range. I would really like to put my hands on it first, I'm really picky about grips. I hated my FNP-40 but I got lucky and didnt lose money at sale.
