Im confused. You are obviously mad at this guy, and obviously mad because he didnt take your advice. So how am I reading you wrong that you want to be listened to? When you jump down people's throats, even people who may have gone off half cocked at you, you start getting tuned out. Its just that simple.

Frankly, Im surprised someone like you who has been around as long as you have, still let people here get you so emotional. Think I dont get frustrated when I give what I consider to be good advice, and the listener clearly ignores it? Obviously. At that point, I simply leave the thread and let the person do whatever they want. What I dont do is get all pissed, start calling him a retard, and decide to troll 'as hard and often as possible'. That's just silly, and in the end it will only serve to frustrate you more. Maybe the OP isn't the only one here who needs to realize his deficiencies, if you are going to cast that stone around.

As for your troll as hard and often as possible attitude, so long as it stays here in the dome. If Id seen the previous thread earlier, I would have shut that argument down as soon as names started being called (yes, I know he did it first).

Lastly, remove the website advertising from your sig please. You know the rules have changed, it is not allowed unless you are a vendor. Thank you for complying, and understanding.

I have been talking with the OP in PMs and helped him with a new design for his enclosure. I have had no issues with him taking advice of any kind actually.

Maybe so, but you definitely seem upset. Again, in the end, making a disagreement here personal (and you ARE doing that) only serves to frustrate yourself more. Believe me, I use to go off on people a lot too. But I realized it wasn't getting me anywhere. Life is too short, if he doesn't listen to you, my advice is to simply move on and help someone else.

As for killing someone with kindness, I chose to look at it a bit differently. When someone starts acting like a dbag, you can make them look like an even bigger dbag by continuing to be nice and mature. But if you lower yourself to their level and start calling names, you simply look like a dbag too. Believe me, this 'tactic' has allowed me to shut up a lot of dbags in the past by getting people to support me simply because I remained calm while the other guy called me every name in the book. Again, I think you should try it. Im confident if you give that attitude a fair chance, you'll like the results. I think you have a lot of experience and good advice to give here, you're a smart guy. But Ive seen you time and time again simply devolve into arguing and name calling, when you had the intellectual upper hand all along. You and you alone have the power to make yourself look good, or bad.

All I was looking for was a new enclosure and a chance to figure out hoe to set frequency. Not to have someone do it for me. I apologize for the vulgar language I just get flames when people try and tell me to have someone else do it. I like learning new things and I don't wanna learn by blowing my stuff.
