I agree, but I'm sure many of us when we do designs help out with questions and explain things. However, it is always best to do some research on your own and try to understand what is wrong/right and being done to fix the issues. Makes things much easier.

4.2 before displacement. and i am a noob at building boxes but the12volt.com told me a 3x3 port at 4.2 cubes is 32 hertz lol. i blame them.

How long is your port? You made no mention of length, so I assume you just have a hole in your box. Or do you mean 3" circular port that's 3" long?

the12volt.com....it asked me the cubic feet of the box, and then the height and depth and tuning (32) and they said 3 for the length.

While that does give you a 32hz tuning a port that small is going to give you a TON of port noise (high air velocity) and it's no where near going to perform how it should if you had done it right lol. like dustin or ram help you out

1.)could that be why my sub gets really hot after 15 minutes? (bad box)

2.) and do i need to keep the frequency low on the amp to keep the gain up? (tuned to 45 hertz on the lpf

The sub could be getting hot for multiple reasons.

Your sub is most likely getting hot because your gain is too high. TBH I would worry about getting a new box together before trying to fix anything else
