i have a memphis mojo pumpin out 1600 watts and i just heard a 500 watt rockford fosgate p1 system getting 500 watts...wtf is up with that?

I would say get a new enclosure or properly adjust everything.

well my enclosure is tuned to 32 hertz with 4.2 cu/ft, and everytime i try to raise the lpf to get higher bass out of the sub it takes away from the gain and raises ac power on dmm. so i either have to play loud and low or quiet and high

What are the specs on your enclosure...hxwxd port area and length? Also what sub/amp do you have?

Sounds like something is not right some where 32hz is not that low of tuning to kill off all your "higher bass" like that.
