Your tuning is fine, your port area is all wrong. The enclosure is more then likely off as well from sub/port/wood displacements...you should have 45s and bracing as well.

With the gain half way up you can easily be clipping the amp.

only read the first post op said but i know how it is sometimes. i support my local shop and one of the workers has two jl w3 13.5's in 5.2 cubes tuned to 27 hz on 1k rms and he was hitting 145's in the trunk on music. i couldn't believe how loud those jl's got. they were moving tons of air. the loudest 1k setup i have ever heard. makes my eclipse look like ish.
