Kid at school selling 2 13w7's for 600 for both

oh and i forgot to add that the ssx12 gets louder and sounds cleaner than a 13w7 with 1000 watts. and will take more power.
but dont get me wrong 600 is a sweet deal for w7s. id get them and sell them to someone else if they worked. would never run them
I'll have to disagree w/ you. I have owned (2) 13w7 and to me they have been my fav. subs that i have owned so far. I like them more than my SI Magnum, than my RE XXX and my RE SX. If I had the money, i would buy (2) 13w7.

MY SUBS COST MORE AND I WOULDNT PAY FOR A W7. IVE HEARD THEM AND IVE HEARD THE 12" TREO SSX AND ID RATHER HAVE THE SSX.
You don't have to shout man.

Have fun with those Treos though, they are good subs. I'm sure your system is geared toward sound quality like a W7 is, even though you run 4 18's.

no need to hate. guy's just got a diff opinion.
Clearly he has been brainwashed by the forums, as most people on here have. He needs to sit down and listen to a W7 in a spec enclosure with clean power on it and realize that it truly is one of the best sound quality drivers out there.
Him saying that the w7 isn't sonic bliss might technically be an opinion, but most audiophiles out there would disagree with the statement.

i disagree.
have you owned one?
Heard and helped install a few 13's. Heard two setups with 12's numerous with the 10's and two with the 8's. The W7 is the God Woofer around my town. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

8 W7's and 10W7's dont have the wooshy buzz...only one of the 12 W7's did. The 13 W7's had it in every install I heard. I dont know if it is an effect of the motor or just the larger cone size. Seems to be less prominent in the sealed applications.

It's a hard to explain 'noise.' Like the W7 is adding its own tone to the music.

w6v2's are awsome sauce...just too expensvie for what you get IMO.

Have you heard a Mag? IDmax? Brahma? XXX?

W7s are good for those getting into car audio..dont know much about it or sq or spl so its a great medium.

dont get me wrong, i loved my w7 when it was installed.

but as your knowledge about car audio grows..you realize you can achieve around the same outcome without the price tag.

JL is right up there with Kicker advertisment wise. go to any highschool where kids have systems in their cars..ask what they have..JL, Kicker, Rockford Fosgate will more than likely be the most that you heard. I doubt you will hear anyone say, much less know, RE, Fi, Treo, DD..

Can't say I've heard all of those. Have definitely worked a lot with the XXX's. Have worked a lot with the W7's also, used to sell them.

I have a soft spot for JL products because they have been making such **** good products consistently for like 15 years. They have won awards, patented new technologies, and put more R&D into their products than any other car audio company I can think of.

After meeting Manville and the crew and getting the full tour, and extensively demoing all JL equipment, I must say I love what they do. They are truly devoted to accurately reproducing music the way it was supposed to sound.

So it's expensive, so what? You get what you pay for.

I disagree there. w7's are probably one of the hardest drivers to get it installed correctly. They like larger than reccomended but not too large and reccomended boxes are... well not what they like the most it seems. JL built box vs Home made the home made was louder and cleaner.

Hard to get loud and sound good. 8w7's and 10w7's are all I personally would ever own from the line assumeing I could cheat myself out of that much money with out regretting it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
