Hey guys! im thinking of getting myself kicker solo baric in my car. do you guys have any opinions on this sub. how does it sound? im trying to go budget, il get it all for like 80$ (including sealed box and amp) Thoughts?

Its prob about 20years old. I wouldn't pay any money for something that old and likely beat to shit.

Save up for better equipment. $60 will barely get you a sub.

This will just be something i have for a few months intil i get myself a job (i go to school rn, and i have alot of distance to cover ocationally)

The walmart Blaupunkt subs are quite good for the money and are some of the best subs you can get for under $100. 

Infinity ref series/JBL club series are also good performers for the money.

Its ok to buy old subs if they have been taken care of. Kickers are usually owned by noobs that don't know what they are doing so they will be more beat up than higher end equipment.

Hook a multimeter to the voice coils and measure the resistance.

What should the resistance be?

Whatever the factory specs in the owners manual say they should be. It all depends on the voice coil configuration.
