while that was drying, we worked on the doors. while this is SPL capable, it will be an SQ daily.

used a Trunk kit of Stinker Roadkill Expert, 20 sf total, used about 8sf per door.

also did bags of 0.5mil PVC encased fiberglass batt insulation for sound absorption.

then covered the entire door with Stinger Overkill - this stuff was thick and heavy.

for the large holes, i had 3/4" UV treated birch that i wrapped in the factory closed cell foam sheeting. then screwed to the door, but located the wood on the inside. worked well.

you may notice that we used a Grade 8 bolt to hold the seat belt clip to the box. this was extra insurance that the box wouldn't kill passengers. there are much larger Grade 8 bolts holding the box down to the floor, i can post this since no one would want to attempt to steal the box anyway and the time it takes to do so, you would be shot before you even got the sub out...

she wangs hard.

what show and where this weekend?
Cordova, IL. This Friday, 11:30pm start. There is also a car show that is separate from the DB Drags event.

Last night we were hunting some loud rattles and found the jack/ramps/etc. were not secured. Also found a rear heater unit that was leaking coolant. so we had to pull half of the carpet up, which meant moving the box. I figured for the event we would want the box closer to the mic anyway, so we moved it here (still bolted for safety) - crappy phone pics at 3am.

passenger seat is reclined. the box is actually behind the B-pillars.

Know I haven't hit you up in awhile been busy at work... still planning on fri at cordova? I've never been to one yet and wouldn't mind tagging along for it or meeting with you guys somw time this week if you want.

i put the oscilloscope on the amps tonight. unloaded, I got 46VAC out of the Massive N4 before clipping with HU at full volume and sub level on full. if it could sustain that at 1 ohm then 2116 W would be on tap. I don't expect to see that with an actual load.

the BA GT amp did ~35VAC when bridged, so around 300W bridged to the front comps.

musically, it sounds good, just that everything is low without T/A and low tweeters.

it's pretty loud, i have no idea what it will meter. i wanted to get a wall built but the other enclosure is eating up that time.

Going for sure, so I'll look for the van. Looks like there will be a few set ups with 18's there....
So, i may be a liar. The van owner may be unavailable and if he doesn't go, i probably won't. if you want to hang out sometime, just come over. we can talk shop and play with systems. i'll RTA anything.

we'll see...
