Kdc-mp425 no aux?

Ive done some digging here and in other forums and i havent been able to figure out why the head unit doesnt list an Aux source then the SRC button is pressed even after my Ipod touch is connected. It wont pick up my sirius unit either. I just bought this car about 2 weeks ago and the previous owner did have an aux cable attached to it [although it didnt come with the sale] .

Also even if nothing is connected to the 10 pin plug in the back of the radio "EXT Media" displays on the bottom left hand corner on the screen. [is that normal?]

Can anyone help?
