Just purchased a set of used k2p's

The things look awefully nice and expensive. The main issue is that the k2p woofers are showing up on my dmm as 2 ohm. If I am not mistaked they should be reading 4 ohm. Even checked my dmm on a memphis pr 6.5 and it read right. I'm going to recheck things tonight though.

Fortunitely this was a deal done through paypal. I'm going to call to speak to focal later as well. Should I be looking into getting my money back?

both reading 2 ohm on the dot would be hard to do if damaged being a svc.. the tweeter is probably 6 ohm which i believe would give a 4ohm load final.. correct me if i am wrong

No, your right as to the math. I had thought about that.

I'm just not sure the woofers are suppose to be 4 ohm or 2 ohm. I guess I really should call focal. I'm kind of curious if their real or not. I know for a fact their not doa.

did you just get the mids or the whole set? if whole set hook everything up to passive crossover and use your dmm from there.

I have the whole set. I was just testing to see if it was doa last night.

My car is about to go in the shop for a week or so, so there's NO way I'm leaving any of my gear in. Never mind swapping out my front stage for an even more expensive one.

The tweeters are reading 6 ohm.

I contacted focal and the guy said that to his knowledge the ones with the aluminum plug have Not been counterfeited.

I've been wanting one of these woofers for awhile, plus it sounds kind of fun trying to tame the tweeters. I hear the trick is not installing them onaxis. Going to run them passive. These xovers are just gorgeous, the whole set is really.
