Just need inputs...

If you're looking to add a changer, why would you use a generic one that required an aux input? The cleanest solution is to use a HU that acommodates a changer, and get the changer made by the same company. Pioneer and Sony (and I'm sure others) have reasonably priced HU's that are setup to handle their own brand of changers. You get the benifit of having changer control from the HU. That's the way I'd go... unless you already own a changer that you want to use.

because it's a computer, not a cd changer.Preouts from the soundcard into my HU...

If im not too mistaken then I am gonna say that I think Alpine actually makes a h/u that has an aux input in the back of the unit. I think ive read that it is an option that you have to buy seperate but its not that much from what I can remember. Plus if you get the Alpine then you will never have to get another h/u, they are excellent h/u's in my opinion. They are built very well and should last a long time.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I like the first one myself. It looks better than the second one you listed. But thats me i'm all about looks.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

personally, i hate my aiwa. hate is a strong word. i really really wish i had any other hu than my aiwa. ive had many many cds that wont eject....to get it out, i had to put another cd in halfway and then try to pull them both out. sq isnt that great either. but for a first hu...i guess the price was right. time to move on.

(to be honest, i really do like the red/blue illumination. The red looks nice with my interior. but that isnt a reason to get the hu)

and now that i think about it...i connected up a rio mp3 player and the sq wasnt all that great either...i was kind of disappointed. the hu is well over a year old. oh well. hope that helps.
