Just got back from best buy

I'm just curious, if you buy a driver from BB or CC and you purchase the warranty whether it may be 1 year or 4 year, and you "accidently" happen to stick it in the outlet, is it still covered? It doesn't necessarily have to be an outlet, it could be a powerful amplifier purchased from the store that only plays at 60Hz. I'd hate to ask those salesmen, they might refuse to let me return the faulty item. How are they gonna know if it has a burnt/bent coil?

At CC we'll give you a new one. Don't care how it's blown, you're covered.

yes, Best Buy will replace blown speakers...period....as many times as necessary the first year...and a few times a year after that...as far as brands we carry...i don't think i have ever heard Rockford Fosgate or Pioneer referred to as shitty...If I am off base here please explain...

First off, those Dual woofers are 12's, not 15's. Best Buy doesn't offer anything other than 10's or 12's, bar none (except a year or two ago, when they experimented with some RF stuff that didn't sell, and a powered RF 8" tube that's horribly overpriced and doesn't sell).

For most of you guys, yes, most of what BB and CC sells isn't adequate. You want higher-end, nicer stuff, and are generally willing to pay for quality. For Jim Bob and Betty Sue customer, they just want a CD player for their Neon that plays CDs. Or speakers that don't sound like 2 monkeys humping. I've worked in car audio for a LONG time, including your high-end custom shops, as well as a CC at one time, and a BB now. All of my gear, with the exception of my wiring, came from elsewhere. Excelon, CDT, eD, Xtant, is what I run.

What I'm saying is, if you don't like these places, don't go there. I don't like women's perfume shops, but instead of *****ing on online forums about them, I DON'T GO THERE. These chains have 400-700 stores, and have to hire at least 10 people per store for car audio. Of course you're going to find some morons. And yes, they're going to try and sell you some $20 kits, $100 amp kits, and a warranty on everything. It's their jobs, and you knew it before you went in there. *****ing is useless, unless you have a solution in place that will solve the issue.

yeah, the best thing about Circuit City is that they'll replace it with no questions asked as long as you brought the box and the stuff it came along with it. I returned a Linksys router of the same model type 5 different times and 3 of them were in the same hour.

haha that's what i'm thinkin... but hey... new car... gotta start on a new system... too bad we dont' carry 8's... i wanna do 2.. 3.. or 4 8's in the new ride... thinkin about massive audio... i got a friend that sells massive and can hook me up
