I recently redid the entire interior of my 1981 c10 pickup, I also installed an all new system consisting of:
2 Sony 6x9's in doors (I know there sony, but they were the top of the line ones and got em cheap cuz friends dad works at sony)
a blaupunkt pca 2100 amp 2x100w rms that powers the 6x9's
2 blaupunkt tsw1000 10 in subs in custom 0.4 ft^3 boxes
getting power from a kole audio hk-980-2 220w rms x 2
the boxes are a little small, but its all I could fit. I made them myself and they are really good. In addition, I fatmatted the ENTIRE inside and floorboard of my truck about 3 layers. I wired everything up super well. 4 gauge wire, soldered all connections, premium everything, i even used 8 gauge speaker wiring! LOL
the subs only have an xmax of 5.6mm which is kinda small. They are super tight and accurate, but I really expected them too hit harder. I built a system for my friend that was only one 12 in cheap alphasonik running off 300w rms and it pounds a lot harder. I was wondering if there are any good subs I could drop in that would get a lot louder, with a mounting depth of less than 5 in, that can do good on 200w rms, and work in 0.4 cu ft sealed. Any suggestions? thanks
