Junky Stock System= Need to upgrad. Please help

just get a nice set of coaxil polks for the front and rear.. nothing higher then 100w max

a head unit.... and it will sound sweet.. but wont get really loud but will be perfect till you're next upgrade..

deffinitly check the clasifieds.. we have online classifieds and i look at em everydday. people saleing some goood stuff on there for really cheep.

with time my son .... you will get what you want... time......

infact i got my MTX 81000D brand new in the box for 100.00 some guy bought it brand new... never got aroiund to installing it... had a kid and ended up saleing it to me... brand new!!!

Alright alright.

But how can you tell a good headunit. What specs should I look for and stuff?

And I read some reviews on the polks and people said they dont have much bass. Even tho speakers dont Id like to have something that has more bass than crisp sound.

ugh...sorry I just buying my first thing on a budget and from the looks of it until I graduate college I wont be spending much on anything else for the jeep so I want to spend wisely

I like the polk too!! But what is so different between that Kenwood and Pioneer besides the price and the Pioneer has that thing where the iPod shows up(or thats what it seems to me)? I dont care if i have to use my iPod to change songs and stuff.

Bump Just curious for any final thoughts and anyone else that agrees this will be 100% better than stock? I had some mix of songs on and it was decent but if the Headunit and Speakers will make it a hella better please let me know.

How do you do the volume controls?

Do you have the ipod all the way up, and then use the HU volume?

Oh alright sorry, thought u were talking about headunits in general. I tried it a couple of ways. iPod maxed and Headunit low to high and go from there sucked, and than iPod low and Headunit low to high, that sucked. But the one that worked is iPod in the middle and than the rest with headunit. That one was the best out of 3.

Im just skeptical about a new headunit and speakers because I never had anythnig like that. It just not regerstring in my head that its got to be better because it just seems to be all the same thing. But cant be since its aftermarket stuff and a quality speakers. Idk
