Jl Cleansweep installed. Hmmm...

Its obviously some kind of engine noise/feedback, instead of a whining sound like most get, you are getting sound kind of alternator AC ripple or something.

Have the shop fix it for you, it can be a pain in the *** to find little things like this, but an install shouldn't leave the shop with this kind of problem (unless it developed after it left). Unless the cleansweep is defective, this is a fixable issue.

yeah, i'll call this guy tomorrow...the rest of the setup sounds really nice, but this static shiit is driving me crazy.

I agree with everyone else. The car shouldn't have left the shop until this noise was gone. If it's the product, like they claim, then they need to install a different one as the one in your vehicle defective. If it's not the product, then they need to troubleshoot their install and find the problem causing the noise.

But the shop must fix it, one way or another.

Yep, if it's a defective unit tell him to swap it out with a brand new one.You didn't pay $250 for static.........

If they're so sure it's a defective unit, then they should swap it out with a new one to test.It very well could be a defective unit.Or a half assed install.

BTW: I've only installed a clean sweep one time.No static lol.

id contact JL and tell them everything, tell them that the "dealer" is saying its a crappy product, more or less

JLs gonna be pissed if their dealer is hookin things up poorly and blaiming the JL product

^^^i brought the JL cleansweep to be installed.. it was brand new in the box.

he said he never installed jl cleansweep and pretty much said the cleansweep has the static, whereas his 20 dollar line out converter he sells, does not have static...after he installed and the static appeared, he immediately said it was the product that made the static.

so when i go back to him, what else should i have him check besides the ground or the gains on the amp??
