you have a point.....but if thers static now, and there def shudnt be, the least the guy can do is re-check his install to see if everythign is secure

just called him today...he said he'll look at it again on thursday.

i took my car out not too long ago, and the FM is horrible! the static is MUCH louder and more obnoxious in the dead spots near my house.

I assumed that you had bought it from the shop.

I would have the guy double check the install as it appears he is going to do for you. But if he determines that it's not his installation, but it is infact the unit.....you are screwed.

He should know how to troubleshoot the install to determine where the noise is coming from. If you bought the JL unit online, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was the unit.
