Well I'm trying to plan a "basic" but nice system for my soon to be show Dakota R/T. Basically I'm looking to stick with JL audio not just because it's a respected name, but for their quality and sound quality products. I'm working on a custom enclosure for this build. The whole truck will also be dynamated

Subwoffers:

- JL Audio 12W0v2-4 (two)

-Sub Amp: JL Audio 500/1V2

-Amp wire: JL 4 gauge power/ground

Door speakers:

- JL Audio VR650-CSi Components

-Speaker amp: JL AUDIO A1200 Class A/B

-Amp wire: JL 8 gauge power/ground

Midbass Woffer. Will be located in front of center console. Mainly for looks but will also help with SQ

-JL Audio 8W0-4 (One)

-Amp: Undecided. Possible same amp as I'm using for door speakers

-Amp wire: JL 8 gauge power/ground

Keep in mind I'm not going for anything off the wall loud or anything. Going for more of quality.

im guessing your budget is around 2 grand?

For amps get

jl 500/1

jl 300/2

forget about the midbass idea and put that money toward better components for your doors. Get the c5 or zr comps instead

As for subs try to get a single w6 instead

if u can afford it id do w3's for the subswill make a difference u will like
The W0v2 and the W1v2 sound a lot better then the w3's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

OP is looking for quality

I don't have room as these are going behind my seats in a single cab truck. I would go with three but space is an issue and I've gotta have a place for my amp.The new sub box I'm building will fit along the whole back wall and will have a sealed section with 1.10 feet of airspace per sub. I don't wanna go crazy with spending as I'm already spending more to swap my kicker system for a JL.

You want me to go with soundstorm or some walmart brand than? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif JLs may be expensive but until you tour their facilities you won't appreciate how much work and effort goes into their products. Like a dealer in town told me, people will hate on JL only because they can't afford it and think that it is overpriced. That dealer doesn't even carry JL and they have mad respect for anyone who runs with them. I don't even play my sub for but maybe an hour a month total anyways. Keep in mind this is a show quality truck and brands mean everything at shows.

Ok, JL is far from the top of the audio world, some of there subs are good quality, but there price is far from reasonable.

But hey, **** it, you want to pay out the *** and get ripped of, go for it man. **** us over cuz you're hard headed about some stupid local dealer telling you about his personal JL boner.

There are members here who know more about quality installs and competing than you could ever hope to find locally, so I would possibly change your view on JL being the best, as that will get you no where.
