I got to about page 7 and was like pfshhh f*** this. All Ive got to say to OP is, take it from a former JL fan(hence the screen name). JL is not the best out there. I was in your situation for the longest time, thinking that if I had JL then people would be like dang hes got a nice system. Well then I decided to give other brands a shot because I actually listened to the advice people gave me on forums. Ive switched to brands like Treo and Mach 5 and have been loving it. Treo is not well known at all, so people are like pfshhh wtf is Treo?? Then they hear it and are like daaaaaaamn! Im sorry but if you paid $1400 for 2 dub3s and a 500 watt amp, you got ***** so bad. If you arent willing to work on your own car, then please GTFO. I did an install on a brand new 07 monte carlo that had just rolled off the lot. Im no pro by any means but its not that hard!!!! If you want to have any kind of successful system then you need to do shit on your own. And to pay $30 to get your holes cut bigger??? I just built a 3.6 cube box and it only cost $48 for everything. Lowes will cut the MDF for you and all you have to do is put it together. And if you cant do that, then please sell your system and kill yourself.

doooood those free tweeters are like a $300 value. Pawn em off and you might have enough to get an authentic JL Audio subwoofer grill for the w3's!!!!! You do know those things also act as a distortion filter right?? That way you can crank the gain all the way up on the amp and it still sounds ok!!!!!

well JL amps are underrated, so a 500 watt amp has more than 500 watts. so 2 of those is over 1000 watts, then the amp for the components is like 600 and something (i forget exactly). and ya i would have JL components cuz i just love JL so much and would fucl{ JL.................

I would ground my amp to my jack. When it starts to act up or whatever, it seems to iron out the issue.
