i just fucl{ed with my amp today and put the bass boost down to 0. it sound the exact same turned up..idk y...
and i do care about sq. tell me how to get it and i will listen. im just worried cuz one guy said something, and then some other guy said that u werent supposed to set the amp that way, something about one user here said subsonic filter was supposed to match wat the box was tuned to, and some other guy said that u weren't supposed to match it..

dats all im worried about it someone sayin something and then it messes up my stuff.

Follow the guides on JL themselves. You can at least admit they know what they are talking about, right?

jman allready told you everything you should do. Just go find his post and do it. And noone on this forum is gonna give shitty info to mess up your system. This a forum full of assholes but all teh assholes love audio and wont give wrong info to break your shit. Unless you have been a complete dick.

DONT TRUST THE AUDIO SHOP

There out to make money, there arent alot of shops who actually take care of the customer as well as they should. Also your upgrade is a complete ripoff

ok, ya i definitely went to sound advice, and they looked at me like i was an idiot when i gave them ur configurations. bass boost needs to stay at +13. 0 bass boost is just stupid.
Dude, i dont care what you guys say, but i bet the sound quality of my JL's will **** your offbrand subs.

and why is everyone here saying that the upgrade is a rip off?? only $200 for 13''w3v3's is a good deal. I mean, i've already spent my money, and can't get it back. Might as well take up the offer and get the 13's.

plus u guys say my port is too small, so i might as well get a new box and put some 13's in that *****.. that would be extremely "balla" as u guys say..

they sya this because this "upgrade" is not going to be much of one at all. Your spending 200 more dollars to gain an inch of sub. Your difference is going to be so minute(sp?) Its not going to be worth it.

Thats why were saying its a waist of money. Plus you can 1 of our "off brand" subs for a little bit more that will most likely be louder and sound better.

The shop is raping you man and thats what were trying to tell you.

at first it wont sound any louder because ill still have just the 1 500/1 on em, but these 13's will be able to handle another 500/1 once i get enough money for that. i cant put 2 500/1's on just the 12''w3v3's

neither SHOULD handle it. If you look at the Jl chart each sub is in the yellow/orange at 500watts, so what is the diff. besides you just spent another $200. you could have used that $, and bought one better sub and run it off the 500/1 and it would have better SPL/SQ than what you have now.

Like others have said here, MOST (99%) of sound shops are out to make $, and could care less about the customer. Where are you located in Florida? I know a shop that will hook you up, and treat you right.

wait wait wait hold up. Do you think they would let me upgrade with just 1 subwoofer? do you think that 1 subwoofer would produce better lows than than the 2 13's?? like i wonder if i could get my money back for the 2 12''w3v3's and maybe get a 1 w7 in a new box or something?

I'd spend my 200 onj some **** compnents *******. Those 13s wont make much difference, especially in the same box! I don't know how you can't understand that. Thos 13s will sound WORSE than the 12 in the same box.
