1) yes, i think the price should be the same - OP, i live 5 Minutes from a Dodge dealer, does that mean i should get a few extra g's off the price of a challenger because im closeShouldn't the price be the same regardless?
Generally speaking, a person who is good at dealing with customers deals with customers, and a person who is good at building things builds things. You can't just call up a company and demand to speak with whomever you want. I'm going to call MS customer service tomorrow and ask to speak with the head of the software team about getting a replacement XP install disc.
I doubt they would have noticed if you hadn't bought a thing. Don't expect much different treatment from Focal or RE, especially if you're trying to skip the dealer network (which is the one place where tenure can be rewarded).
He is right: it has been one of the best subs for the last ~8 years and will continue to be a strong competitor, especially in the usual brick-and-mortar retail market.
Actually, they're still very much "the shit".
Well, you have touched on a key point here: the difference between how you can operate a small business on the internet (Fi) and a large international business run through storefronts (JL). To expect the same from each can only be a joke.
I guess that depends: do you consider BMW to be good?
What would make them high end?
How much money are you willing to put forward?
2) If i call DD and want to talk to the person who made my 9515 or whatever i would have i would appreciate talking to them, because they are a smaller more performance based company instead of a money ***** internation corp i bet i might be able to talk to who made my speaker. That goes with DC, FI and AA and those little companies too. I havnt tried but i think i deserve that right.
3) A smaller company would notice though. If rusty over at DC charged the same as JL and i bought 3 full system i can almost guarentee he would give me a little break becuase of all the money that is in his pocket. The big buisness doesnt care about individual customers or that fact that we as consumers deserve good service both performance and help wise since we put our money into helping them
4) It has been one of the best subs but for the price its not worth it, Thats why only rich people or people who think its cool to show off their money get them.
5) Again, they might be "the Shit" but whats the point in payin so much when i can get as good or better performance else where. Sure what i get might not have the name and stocks but in the end its performance that matter.
6) I think customers should be treated equally no matter where they go. But its the money going to their heads that has lost them respect for the individual customer or the fact that they will call us the "dealers's Problems"
7) Most people whether they consider BMW to be good or not realize that its still a high end car that comes with a hefty price tag when equal cars can be had for less money. Same with subs, JL is high end but i can get almost if not the same for less. I dont care if im "balla" enough to have JL plastered on my shit.
8) I agree., i doubt someone can say there components are more or less than anyone elses without first hand knowledge, We need a speaker building buddy to tell us this. Not speculation
9) We are are willing to put enough money up to satisfy ourselves, whether that be 1000 or 8000, we arnt in this for anyone else. Im not on this planet to keep a car audio company alive. Im here to live, kill the earth, and boom. And how ever i put up will boom to me or ill be pissed. Thats where reaserch comes in. You dont need to be rich to boom boom all in your hood.
