JL audio C5 question?

Pioneers 80PRSJL audio 900.5

Hertz Hsk165

Hertz HX300

My friend have the Hsk165 run off a Arc audio amp and it sound the same.
how's your electrical charging system at? I remember my 80 prs set with jbl ms62C set which has titanium tweets and they were not harsh at all unless something went wrong with the electricals/voltages and whatnot.

Have you adjusted the equalizer on the head unit? Checked your speaker wiring? "Sometimes harsh" could be any number of things, including the music. Music is not always supposed to be tender and pleasant, it can be very abrasive and unpleasant if that's what the artist intended.

Yes i check everything, the Hertz are very bright speakers i need to replace with something else.
could be the head unit and audio/mp3 file itself more then the speakers, they are bright but they are certainly not Very bright by any means, something else is at hand here.

what head unit are you running?

i have a NIB JL C5-653 3 way components.have same set in jeep was going to use these in wifes honda but shes getting a minivan.the c5 tweeters sound very warm.much more plesant on the ears than any others i have heard in past few years.many people like there focal, hertz ect which are very good speakers but i know there are alot of people who sell there tweeters right out of the box and purchase the c5 silk tweeters because they sound sooooo good.if interested in the 653s let me know

I had a set of C5s and went to the Hertz. The Hertz had much more output and overall detail. The C5s where nice low volume, so where the Hertz. High volume the Hertz left them in the dust.
