JL 1000/1 problem

**** he's gay for running it at 1 ohm when 4's almost the same power..im not familiar with jl amps but i wouldn't know that the .5 impedence would have made such a drastic difference

sounds like your friend dose not know how to use that amp properly. and killed it.

He should also check the wire. I think when I did that I had fried the wire as well. It was all melted. The amp was shot and had to be replaced as well. Something got overloaded, though I had had the amp about 2 years and kept it at 4 ohms.
