Lucas isnt causing the tappin does it sound like its coming from top or bottom part or engine compartment

It doesn't seem like something that would really cause it but it's odd that the noise occurs the day after lucas oil was added.

And maybe your clutch alignment is off ??

Lightweight flywheel has different tooth count than oem ????

Starter gear sticking open ?????

its ****** related, not motor.. pushing in clutch will not make a motor tick. my friend has the same noise and it was the bearings in the ******. ive had it happen plenty of times and it was either throwout or main bearing on the ******. u ever change the thrust bearing in the end of crank?

actually my audi did this when it was hot out... sounded like the motor, but it wasn't and it went away after a week lol idk what it was that time

OK, the noise only occurs now when making a sharp left turn at speed, WHILE the car is in gear, but as soon as you push the clutch in, noise goes away.

Keep 'em coming guys. I'm doing a complete inspection of the motor/****** on Tuesday.
