not National, that is their Global Average.. Remember Wal-Mart will have somewhere around 5-10 Managers per store.

i go to school in a town of a population of 4,658 (July 2011) and everyone does their shopping at Walmart. it's the only store in town that isn't family owned. they keep their employees for years and years before you notice a new employee.

i'm in my 4th year of college now and from what i recognize they've had the same employees since my first semester lol

We see more and more Higher Income people shopping at Dollar or Discount stores more and more every year. We are actually moving and developing more into area's as more and more people are wanting discount shopping and be able to get in and out of the store in less than 10mins when spending less than $100.. Wal-Mart and other stores like them are missing the boat because they have 20 lanes and 2 open and people don't want to wait in line for you to take their money... Cost-Co out of Cali is killing Wal-Mart and Target because of these reasons. Cost-Co over the past 2 years has been doing test markets with Wal-Mart Type/Size stores and are killing them.

Everyone hates walmart but are too friggin cheap to shop anywhere else.....

Goes back to - People are lazy and want everything for nothing....hence you have an unemployed country shopping at walmart.

Couldn't give two fukks.....I is Canadian.

It is simple logic. Lazy people don't want to work. Lazy people have no money. Lazy people need to shop where it is cheap. Only way to get cheap products is to offshore them. This makes people lose their jobs, as the work is sent overseas. Now even more people can't afford "made in america" products....hence more offshoring.

People whine and complain about the quality of products and how they are not made like they used to be. Well....its all because of the lazy guy.

I hate walmart because they don't treat their employees fairly, they arent good for local economies and they have terrible service and product selection.

This video explains things very well, focus on externalized product cost, its discussed around 9:30-10mins in, but you need to watch the whole thing to understand how the system works.

EHh... I'm neither right or left or dem or rep.. Neither one is worth a fsk in my books... But to the lazy people comment, Every single town I go to I see with my own eyes and Hear with my own ears the same thing... I see people walking down the street with their beer in their hands, or in line talking about how they get their free check in on the 1st and how they have taught their kids to mooch off the system so they don't have to ever work.. I travel more than most people on this forum put together.. Every single state every single town is the same.. I talk to the town/city officials and get reports and so forth from them of who is on gov. assistance and who is not and everything else.. 90% of the people listed on the gov. assistance list is between the ages of 18-45 and are completely able to work but know how to work the system to be LAZY.. We have workers that wants to come out and work a few weeks/months to just add enough money into their unemployment benifits so they can take off and get the check for 6-12 months to not work..

Must be a southern thing then, I had a buddy that was down in Alabama for grad school for the past 2-3yrs and he said everyone down there was proud to be lazy and proud of doing as little work as possible, they called it "working smart, not hard"

haha I'm lazy as fuq. and I still work 50+ hours a week and go to school full time and lead a fulfilling life. Being lazy doesn't help, but it has a lot to do with people having zero value of working for what you have. A sence of pride that comes from working hard and earing the things you have.

Why does everyone hate on walmart. You know tons of other business that im sure you have gone to plenty of times work the same way. Starbucks, mcdonalds, KFC, target. They are all the same. You think all these other places give health benefits? no, they dont. Wal mart just gets the flak because they are the biggest.

If the united states broke off and got rid of all the states from arkansas down and left it for all the lazy *** people it would be a 3rd world country in 2-3 months.. I work my *** off to have what I have.. I grew up dirt poor like my mom made 10-15k ayear poor.. I did not want to live like that, I wanted to have everything I wanted and It pisses me off when people start complaining about taxes and everything else.. 99% of the people that complain do not pay taxes to begin with nor do they know how taxes actually work... and I feel like my money should not go to support these peoples habits of being lazy..
