I recently installed new speakers/subs and amp on my kids car but I'm a novice so when it came time to upgrade the sound on my own new car I decided to take it to the professionals and I'm wondering if I made a mistake. I have a brand new 2014 Chevrolet SS I decided on having Hybrid speakers in the four doors, J&L sub and enclosure in the trunk and two J&L amps, the sound is amazing however when the sound is low you can hear the subs hissing and the dorr chimes and car pings and bells are very very loud. When I took it back he told me they had to take the signal from the stock Bose amp and thus you gte these sounds, they turned down the gains but the sound is now crap, no better than before.
Like I said I not a professional but i'm not happy with the sound and I seem to be getting nowhere with the shop.
I'm assuming the background amp hissing is because there amping the stock amp, right, wrong?
Am I missing something, are they bullshitting me about not being able to take the signal from the stock head unit?
Any help would be very appreciative and I'm getting really pissed!
