Is wiring the prob?.....

Ok I was trying a new setup in my car over the weekend. I was trying a new Arc KAR-900.1 and an Alumapro Alchemy SQ version. It is a DVC 4 ohm sub. I was wanting a 2 ohm load on the amp. There are 2 sets of speaker outputs on that amp. I just used one set to run to the box terminals. From the box terminals, I ran one wire from positive and one wire from negative to one pos and neg post respectively on one of the VC's on the speaker. Then I ran a wire from the pos post on one VC to teh pos post on teh second VC and did the same thing with the neg. Like this:

It had almost no volume. sounded terrible. So did I do something wrong with teh speaker terminals at the amp? Any ideas?

if you wired it jus like that in the picture you did it right. amp settings maybe? head unit settings? box possibly? what does it sound like?

Volume sounds very low. I turned the gain wide open. and I could hear it but just barely while sitting in the front seat. I turned the non fader setting wide open on the eclipse 8445 HU but still way low on volume.

What could be wrong with the box? The sub was barely moving. I was concerned about the speaker output terminals coming out of the amp since there are two sets and I'm using only one. The manual for that amp sucks bad. I wasn;t sure it that would have an effect.

its fine how you put it in only one terminal. try switching the wires on terminal on the amp. also double check your wiring! you could have wired it strange.

Ok I think I made a dumbass mistake putting the new HU in. There are lyrics coming from the sub, Think I could have hooked up the RCA to the wrong pre-out?

ya that could have been also your amp may have the low pass setting up to much. try around 80-100hz

Ok, it isn't the low pass setting and I had teh pre-outs connected correctly so back to the drawing board.
