is this wired up like it should be?

just got the new amp in (merlin md1) for two re se10-d4's

first off, i thought the amp would have one set of terminals for the speakers

there are two (almost like it's a 2-channel)

subs are wired as so:

pos to one vc , neg to the other vc , jumpers going to the others

the subs are hooked to amp like i'm bridging a 2ch.

i want it wired/hooked up at a 1ohm load.

i honestly think that it sounded better when i had one speaker hooked up to a kicker 600.1

i haven't tuned anything but is my wiring correct???

if it is a mono amp and you are bridging those "channels" you are going to be in for a surprise and likely why your gear sounds like crap. Mono amps just give two sets of input terminals for wiring simplicity. is still one channel.

Edit: So no. you are not wired correctly.

I think he was referring to the output channel. IE mono amps have 2 + and 2 -

yes outputs. the terminals that actually connect to the subs.

im actually glad you posted that picture. not alot of people realize this, and this image could really help a few people on this site.
