Engine Noise???

Im getting engine noise BAD, the thing is, it only happens when car is sitting still or at idle, BUT, put the car in gear and drive off, and all the noise goes away, I mean completely silent, we have checked EVERYTHING, and have no clue what the prob could be.

ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS? Thanks in Advance for help!

does it go away just by putting it in drive, or does it go away when rpm goes up? What actually makes the noise go away?

try not putting it in drive and step on the gas

hmmmm.... dang this sucks bro. ish was happening to me and i tried everything! re-routing my power wire, rca's etc. and the only thing that made it go away was a capacitor. I know i know yes i said a capacitor. They do a really good job at filtering engine and alternator noise!! it worked for me although the fvckn thing is an eyesore!

Ive got a cap, i soundstrream 35 farad, when i put it in gear and give it gas, it doesnt take it completely away like when i drive it. Volume does go down considerably though

sounds like a potential grounding issue.

We moved the ground twice, no help. I think Im gonna try to make my own ground, instead of using factory location

have you tested the grounds resistance to the bat negative?

maybe a bad set of rca(replace them)

maybe the hu(test with another hu)

if it were bad rcas, wouldnt it just be that set running to a specific, i think it be hard to have all amps with the same noise

so you have multiple amps? and all are doing it?

yeah i have 3 amp all rf a 4k(subs), 2-T600's, ALL with engine noise
