Is this too thick of wire?

Hey guys,

I have a LOT of 8 gauge wire that Ill never use sitting in the closet and was wondering, do you think using that to wire my IDMAX subs is a little overboard or

would it be ok?

I have no use for it and I suppose I could sell it, but I dont think its worth much, so just thought of a way I could put it to use.

It is a little overboard but it wont hurt anything. Since you have it you might as well = )

i've been wondering the same thing. I've got a ton of 8 gauge and currently have 12 gauge from amp to subs. Wondered if it would help but guess not

Can't hurt. It's complete overkill, but it saves you from buying speaker wire.

I've seen it done before, if u have the extra wire might as well do it. Won't hurt anything or really make a difference.
